Through the Fire – Retreat Experience In Douro Valley
Are you ready to transmute and transform the old energy blocks to love and intimacy? ‘Through the Fire’ is about ‘rising in love’ to yourself and all your magnificence.
In a world where people are seeking love in one form or another the sacredness of relationships has got lost. As a result people are having relationships that at best are ‘safe’, and at worst are toxic. If you are ready to commit to understanding how to change patterns of lifetimes and find the sacred that lies within your own Heart, then this retreat is an absolute must for you!
As we begin to awaken to a deeper need, the nature of relationships are being called into question. A sacred relationship is one in which we are inspired to see the divine in another person, to experience oneness through the intimate connection of two.
Sacredness is a felt experience. It’s a knowing deep within, a knowing of who you really are.
This retreat will focus mainly on the more romantic intimate nature of relationships and their importance in this Aquarian age.
Using a combination of ancient teachings, meditations and powerful yoga practices, combined to transform negative patterns held in the heart you will be guided to understand:
- The essence of a sacred contract
- How to create a karma-free sacred relationship
- Why love is not bondage
- How love is the essence of all that is
- How you can dare to love yourself
- Why soul love requires cooperation
- How twin flames are soul mirrors
- This is the age of twin souls
- How to surrender to love
We become ready for this sacred relationship at a very particular time in our lives—a time when we awaken to the sacredness within ourselves

Douro Valley, Portugal
A Unesco World Heritage site since 2001, the Douro is a majestic wilderness, one of the oldest demarcated wine regions in the world, but a surprisingly silent place, apart from three bustling weeks of harvest each autumn.
The Douro is like a canvas that changes with the seasons, painted with splashes of colour from the leaves and flowers of the different species of plants. In the springtime, with the almond trees in blossom, white and violet blend with the green of the trees. In the autumn, the hills and valleys covered in a carpet of copper and browns.
The capital of this region of northern Portugal is the stunning city of Porto, famed for its port houses as well as its World Heritage-protected old town, baroque churches, characterful winding streets and abundance of tourist attractions.
Quinta do Klein (Quinta meaning country estate) sits amid its own vineyards, with glorious views down the valley. Sitting on the edge of the village of Guiaes, approximately 75 minutes from Porto, the house truly is a haven of peace.
The house has been lovingly restored and renovated and offers ten beautifully furnished en-suite bedrooms over three floors, each with its own character and charm. There is a large sitting room (with a good supply of books and games!), two dining rooms, outside eating area and a large private pool set in its own beautiful garden with the backdrop of the Douro countryside.
The studio is a beautiful space in the redeveloped old wine store – the huge barrel ends on the wall a reminder of its legacy.
Porto airport is well-served from the UK.
Please note transfers will be arranged on the scheduled arrival and departure days based on the recommended flight timings. If you arrive or depart outside of these times and dates, transfers will be at your own cost and arrangement.
The transfer to the house is approximately 1 hour 20 mins drive.
